Amazon Freight is seeking a driven Sales Development Representative to identify and qualify new business opportunities for our freight transportation solutions. In this hunting role, you will use strategic outreach and consultative sales techniques to build pipeline and uncover potential customer needs that can be met by Amazon’s freight offerings.
Operating in a fast-paced, startup-like environment, you will apply your sales development expertise to generate qualified leads through cold calling, social selling, and other prospecting methods. You will develop a deep understanding of Amazon’s freight products and the logistics industry to have credible conversations with prospects.
This role allows you to hone your sales skills while collaborating cross-functionally with Amazon Freight’s sales teams on go-to-market strategies, campaigns, and targets. You will accurately track all prospect data and sales activity in Amazon’s CRM systems.
Key job responsibilities
– Prospect into target accounts and identify new business opportunities through strategic cold calling, social selling, email campaigns and other outbound tactics
– Manage a qualified sales pipeline by developing a deep understanding of prospect accounts, logistics challenges, and supply chain requirements
– Leverage product knowledge and consultative sales skills to position Amazon Freight’s capabilities in alignment with prospect needs
– Collaborate closely with Amazon Freight’s BD reps to provide qualified leads and support the sales process through the full cycle
– Accurately track all prospect/customer interactions and sales activity data in Salesforce CRM
– Participate in marketing campaigns, events, and other lead generation initiatives to drive pipeline growth
– Meet and exceed quarterly targets for qualified opportunities and other key metrics
– Provide feedback to product and marketing teams to enhance Amazon Freight’s go-to-market strategy
A day in the life
The day begins by reviewing the pipeline and planning strategic outreach activities. A core focus is dedicated to prospecting into target accounts through cold calls, emails, and social selling tactics – leveraging research to tailor messaging around each prospect’s logistics needs and how Amazon Freight’s solutions can provide value. Throughout the day, there is close collaboration with BD reps to provide a seamless handoff of qualified opportunities ready for deeper evaluation. Before wrapping up, all prospect interactions are meticulously logged, pipeline metrics updated, and a plan prepared for the next day’s prospecting activities.

We provide external freight customers access to the world class network and freight services used to operate Amazon’s own business. Our enterprise-ready freight offerings ensure our customers’ freight is moved with the highest level of service and quality at a competitive price across multiple modes of transportation (Truckload, LTL, Intermodal).
Basic Qualifications
– 3+ years of sales experience
– 4+ years of B2B sales experience
– Experience analyzing data and best practices to assess performance drivers
– Experience closing sales and generating revenue
Preferred Qualifications
– Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
– Experience influencing C-level executives
